Pumpkin Carving

Let me just start out by saying that my kids were seriously not impressed by carving a pumpkin. They were only interested in eating the bowl of candy I set out for us. I guess I should have guessed that a huge bowl of chocolate goodies would be more interesting to a 2 and a 3 year old than sticking their hands in a slimy pumpkin. OH well... at least I got a few cute shots.

I made the hat the kids are wearing using the free Oliver + S Reversible Bucket Hat pattern! I actually made it for Griffin, but Sadie likes it a little more than he does. Her skirt is a circle skirt (my favorite kind to make) and is also reversible! One side for halloween and one side for Thanksgiving! I wanted them to be all cutesy and match, but neither of them are huge fans of their halloween gear. It was a lose, lose situation on my part... but at least the chocolate kept them happy.

Side note... these were the last moments with the pink flip flops.
