A Glimpse of Summer

During the summer (or more like March thru October) we stay outside all afternoon and eat on our picnic table nearly every night. We catch those dreamy sun rays on our faces until they are out of sight. And yesterday, we did just that.

But while the kids napped (the one time we were inside) me and my husband watched About Time. If you haven't seen it yet, go out and rent it right now. It was the best movie I've seen in a long time. Be stocked with tissues, because we both cried. It got us pretty bad.

It left us thinking about our life, our kids and how we should be spending each day.

We don't stop and appreciate the little things that we have. We don't always look at our kids and soak in all of the little details that make them who they are. We are so crazy in love with these three little people and there really aren't words to describe it, (if you are a parent then you know what I'm talking about.) So we spent the rest of our day outside taking in every single thing about them and appreciating our simple life more than ever. Something I seriously always struggle with, living a simple life.

Now, your turn to watch that movie and soak up your family.
